OFFICIAL RAFFLE RULES, LEGAL NOTICES, AND RELEASES
You must be 18 years of age or older on or before May 7, 2012 to purchase a ticket and win a prize. Winner need not be present to win. A ticket purchase reflects the buyer’s agreement to abide by all terms of the raffle, and all city, county, state and federal laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law. The Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. Tickets are void and will not be honored if stolen, unissued, illegible, forged, mutilated or altered in whole or in part. Any dishonored check or credit card received for payment of a ticket shall void entry. The ticket registration is the only valid receipt to claim prize. By purchasing a ticket, a ticket holder agrees to the use of his/her/its name and picture or likeness publicly by the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club, in the news media, via internet, print, radio or television, without further notice and compensation.
Holder of a raffle ticket entry does hereby acknowledge that members, employees, officers, and directors of the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club and their families may enter this raffle. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received, but not greater than 1 in 2,500. Prize winners shall be responsible for all applicable license fees, delivery charges, sales taxes and all other local, county, state, and federal taxes. More than one name may be stated on the ticket registration form; however, the first name listed shall be the “entrant”. Payment or delivery of any prize will be made to the entrant. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to allocate a winning prize to other participants in a multiple entry ticket. Grand prize winner must disclose entrant’s address and social security number to the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club who will forward a Federal Income Tax Form 1099 and necessary withholdings to the Internal Revenue Service disclosing the winning entrant and the amount of the prize. Winners agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club, its members, officers and directors from any liability for local, state and/or federal income taxes due.
There shall be only one grand prize winner. The grand prize raffle winner shall be drawn at approximately 7:30 p.m. (CST) on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Jim Butler Charity Golf Classic. All postal, telephone and internet entries must be received by the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club by 5:00 pm on May 4, 2012, and all direct sales entries until the time of drawings shall be eligible for the raffle. All tickets will be recorded on a first-come, first-served basis. The winners will be contacted by telephone or U.S. mail at the address given on the ticket. The winning entrant, after being contacted by the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club, must make arrangements to claim prize by December 31, 2012. Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club has no obligation for delivery of any prize to any person other than entrant.
By purchasing a ticket, you expressly disclaim and release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club from any and all liability associated with conducting the raffles. The Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club reserves the right to conduct the drawings in a manner it deems reasonable. The decision of the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club shall be final on all matters concerning this raffle. The Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club reserves the right to use all reasonable efforts within their discretion to verify authenticity and the official winning entrant.
The winning ticket becomes the exclusive property of the Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club and will not be returned. Entries and tickets are not transferable. HERBERT HOOVER BOYS & GIRLS CLUB SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. HERBERT HOOVER BOYS & GIRLS CLUB DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PRIZE WILL IMPROVE YOUR GOLF GAME.
