|
|
Jamaal Phillips, a 10-year member of Herbert Hoover Boys & Girls Club of St. Louis, has been named the 2008 Midwest Region Youth of the Year! He receives a $10,000 college scholarship from the Youth of the Year program's founding sponsor, Reader's Digest Foundation. Selected from 12 other regional finalists, Phillips will now advance to BGCA's National Youth of the Year competition in Washington, D.C., in September - one of five finalists.
Being named Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive. The title recognizes outstanding contributions to a member's family, school, community and Boys & Girls Club, as well as personal challenges and obstacles overcome. |

Summer camp is underway, which takes place not only in North St. Louis, but also in South St. Louis.
We hope that you will consider HHBGC’s Summer Day Camp. Our camp is designed to expose each camper to a variety of fun learning, physical and cultural activities. HHBGC has been known throughout the community for its commitment to high quality and affordable programs and services.
